Country: Belgium

Belgium is a federal country split into Flemish, French and German-speaking communities. Each community is responsible for culture, sport and welfare subsidies. Tax law and national registers stay federal.

Almost every organisation is structured as a vzw, the country’s standard non-profit association form.

The domestic software tier is built around the donation certificate, issued and submitted electronically to the tax authority. The national company-registry number (BCE) has been required on these certificates since the 2025 tax year.

Belgium also has a separate certificate for childcare costs, form 281.86. vzwOnline generates this certificate directly.

KLUBS is built specifically for federations of affiliated clubs. Multi-language interface support, in Dutch, French and sometimes German, is common across the market.

Domestic products include VZWbeheer and Stamhoofd. Imported products include AssoConnect and Yapla.
