Australia’s charity software falls into three broad areas: mainstream charities, NDIS disability providers, and homelessness services.

The mainstream area covers ordinary tax-deductible giving, overseen by the national charity regulator, the ACNC. It also includes the general market for fundraising, membership, volunteering, events and grant-making.

NDIS disability providers are paid against government-set prices instead of donor fundraising. Software here, including Lumary and Mayasoft, handles NDIS claims, connects to government identity and payment systems, and applies the pay award for community-services staff.

Infoxchange SHIP covers homelessness services, reporting data to a national standard.
