Organisation & background
ChurchSuite is a UK company founded in 2012, grown from earlier church-intranet software. It’s also sold to general charities as CharitySuite, sharing the same underlying platform, and has a large worldwide church customer base built through organic rather than acquisition-driven growth.
Functionality
ChurchSuite is a church management system in which the Address Book of people records is always included and further modules can be switched on: Children, Attendance, Calendar, Small Groups, Rotas, Giving, Bookings and Planning. Small Groups manages group membership and leaders, with built-in messaging between them, and Rotas schedules serving teams across services and events. Bookings handles rooms, equipment and named officiants, with usage insights. Flows automates multi-stage processes, and QR check-in records both registered and unplanned attendance.
Localised features
Direct Gift Aid integration with HMRC’s Charities Online service, the UK’s tax authority, with bank-statement import for giving reconciliation. Direct Debit billing is available for UK customers, card or SEPA, the European bank-transfer standard, for Europe. Safer Recruitment and safeguarding flows are built in partnership with Thirtyone:eight, a UK Christian safeguarding charity.
Implementation model
Self-service, through role-based support articles, in-app guidance and a knowledge base, with optional onsite training. Independent church-IT consultants also advise on migrations.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, UK-based, hosted on AWS.
