Kaleido

Organisation & background

Kaleido is built by ANT-Informatik AG, based in Wallisellen, Switzerland and founded in the early 1990s, as the cloud counterpart to its older on-premises product, SEXTANT. Customers include Empa, Caritas beider Basel, glowbal-act and Morija.

Functionality

Kaleido is a fundraising CRM built on Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, with a configuration layer tailored to Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) that closes gaps ANT-Informatik says a general international Salesforce setup leaves open (including donation-receipt generation and data exchange with tax authorities). Its donor data model covers individuals, households and organisations, with detailed communication preferences and RFM scoring (rating donors by how recently, how often, and how much they’ve given). Campaign management includes Swiss QR-bill generation and advertising-code attribution, and an AI-assisted tool (developed with ETH Zürich) estimates how likely someone is to give and how much, to help target major-donor and foundation outreach.

Localised features

Tailored donation-receipt and tax-authority data-exchange features for the German-speaking DACH region, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus Swiss QR-bill, QR-Rechnung, payment-slip generation.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: Implemented directly by ANT-Informatik via a standardised five-stage process; published projects range from roughly 3 to 12 months.

Hosting

Runs on Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, hosted on Microsoft Azure in Europe. A different setup from ANT-Informatik’s own Swiss data centre used for its older, on-premises product, SEXTANT.
