Organisation & background
VerticalSoft SARL, based in Paris, was founded in 2016 and holds ESS accreditation (Entreprise Sociale et Solidaire, France’s social-and-solidarity-economy status). It’s a pre-configured managed layer on the Salesforce Lightning Platform for associations, foundations and corporate philanthropy programmes, positioned as a premium alternative to Salesforce’s free NPSP.
Functionality
VerticalSoft is a ready-built nonprofit application on Salesforce for French associations, foundations, endowment funds and corporate patronage programmes, positioned as a higher-end alternative to configuring Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack yourself. Members, donors and other contacts sit on standard Salesforce objects, with custom objects and fields available. It manages grant and funding requests with scoring by several reviewers, and a form builder takes one-off or recurring payments for donations, memberships, tickets and bookings. Marketing automation by behaviour and journey, contact deduplication, and Salesforce reports and dashboards are included.
Localised features
Automatically generates fiscal receipts from payment events, consistent with French donation-tax practice. It also supports DSP2/3D Secure, the European strong-customer-authentication standard for online payments, and meets PCI-DSS, the payment-card industry’s security standard, for European payment handling.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by VerticalSoft: consultants configure pages, forms and objects and import client data, and each client account has a named, dedicated consultant.
Hosting
Runs on the Salesforce Lightning Platform, with customer data in Salesforce’s French data centres and daily backups to a second platform. Data can be exported or transferred into an organisation’s own Salesforce application.
