xFound

Organisation & background

ace Neue Informationstechnologien GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria, was founded around 1998 by managing director Mario Simandl. It has over 25 years of IT-solutions experience, with a number of cited xFound implementations.

Functionality

xFound is a grant-lifecycle system for foundations and public-sector grant-makers, organised around six stages: CRM, application, review, approval, execution and closure. Applicants submit and track applications through a public self-service portal with AI-assisted support. Internally, configurable multi-stage review and approval workflows, digital signatures and an advisory-board decision app carry each case to a decision, after which digital fund drawdown, reporting and proof-of-use tracking run through to closure. It integrates natively with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by ace, with named specialist subcontractors (legal, project management, regional IT) brought in for complex public-sector deployments rather than a standing partner network.

Hosting

Runs on Microsoft cloud infrastructure within the EU.
