uSystems GmbH, based in Winterthur, Switzerland, was founded in 2008 from a hobby project. It has a large customer base of associations across 10 countries, managing over a million members in total.
Functionality
Webling is a Swiss association-management platform for Vereine with five modules: accounting, member management, calendar and events, communication, and a member portal. Accounting follows Swiss conventions, with a financial dashboard, member invoicing, bank reconciliation, e-invoice upload with automatic data extraction and a direct bank connection, and several separate sets of books can run in parallel. Custom groups and fields model an association’s structure, including its organisation chart, and role-based access lets a board control which data and functions each member can use. A self-service Excel importer handles migration.
Localised features
Supports Swiss and German/Austrian bookkeeping conventions, with data hosted on the vendor’s own Swiss servers. Compliant with GDPR and the Swiss DSG.
Implementation model
Self-service. Excel/CSV import with field mapping; a partner programme offers discounted rates rather than implementation services.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor: Vendor’s own Swiss servers, not third-party cloud.
