Plinth

Organisation & background

Plinth is a small, venture-backed, London-based team founded around 2018-19, working with UK charities for over 7 years. It positions itself as an ‘AI-powered platform for charities and funders’.

Functionality

Plinth is a UK platform for case management and grants in multi-agency settings, with five areas sharing one data layer, so attendance, case notes and volunteer checks can be reported on together. Case management includes AI case notes that are transcribed, attributed to speakers and drafted by AI for the case worker to review. Other areas cover volunteers, members and partners; activity bookings, venues and payments; grant management for funders, with AI-assisted setup; and impact reporting through an AI agent called Pippin.

Localised features

Built for UK multi-agency programmes such as Holiday Activities and Food and Family Hubs, with data sharing across organisations. AI translation presents applicant-facing forms in a preferred language, and British Sign Language needs are recorded.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: Small organisations reported operational within 2–4 weeks.

Hosting

Cloud-hosted by the vendor (EEA-based data storage).
