StratusLIVE

Organisation & background

StratusLIVE was founded in 2008 by Jim Funari and John Funari in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area. A small, specialist company rather than a large vendor. It markets itself as the only nonprofit CRM built directly on the Microsoft Dynamics platform, positioning itself as a migration destination for organisations displaced by the retirement of Microsoft’s own Fundraising and Engagement module (support ends at the end of 2026).

Functionality

StratusLIVE is a nonprofit CRM built natively on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, positioned as a replacement for organisations using Microsoft’s retiring Fundraising and Engagement module. StratusLIVE 365 covers donor and constituent management, fundraising and analytics, with pledges, recurring payments, payments, soft credits and non-cash gifts as distinct records. StratusLIVE Ignite provides donation pages and a personalised giving experience for donors, and Give at Work runs workplace-giving campaigns for United Way-style federations. Microsoft Copilot features surface insights into donor behaviour and automate routine tasks.

Localised features

Give at Work is positioned specifically for United Way-style federation and workplace-giving campaigns.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team, through an internal implementation project-management group that handles most engagements. A named third-party System Implementation Partner, BWF, also offers standard and customised build-outs, as well as legacy-CRM migration.

Hosting

Runs inside your organization’s own third-party platform tenancy (Microsoft Azure/Dataverse).
