Organisation & background
Marmara-IT GmbH & Co KG, based in Horn/Vienna, Austria, is a small specialist vendor with two decades of experience in address management, which preceded a 2018 relaunch as Respond 2.0. It’s positioned toward small and medium Austrian NGOs, though there’s no independent customer count.
Functionality
Marmara Respond 2.0 is an address, member, subscription and donation system for Austrian NGOs and lobbying agencies, designed to draw loosely engaged people further in. One database holds every contact type, from members and donors to subscribers and volunteers, recording what was sent to whom and when to follow up. Recurring commitments, from annual dues to monthly debits, sponsorships and subscriptions, are collected by direct debit. Donors are scored on how often, how recently and how much they give. It produces mail-merge letters and labels with PDF export, and sends tracked email campaigns and bulk SMS.
Localised features
Implements the vbPK mechanism, the encrypted personal identifier used for Austria’s automatic donation-reporting regime. A shared-controller, multi-tenant data-separation model is used by the Austrian Greens across several party bodies.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: A structured status-quo assessment and Start-Workshop precede migration and training; “intensive support during the start phase”.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor: Vendor-hosted by default at Magenta in Vienna; on-request installation on a client’s own server.
