Organisation & background
FundraisingBox is developed by Wikando GmbH, based in Augsburg, Germany, and launched in 2010. It has a substantial nonprofit customer base, with a fully distributed team across several German cities.
Functionality
FundraisingBox is a cloud fundraising platform in which donation forms, peer-to-peer campaigns and a donation shop feed directly into a built-in contact and campaign-management database. Contacts can hold several private, work and other addresses, and organisational hierarchies such as federal, state and local bodies are supported. A no-code search tool, Smart-Suche, builds any query, SEPA mandates are created and collected automatically, and donations are attributed to project and campaign codes. Integrations and data export connect it to other systems.
Localised features
Automates SEPA direct debits and pre-notifications, offers interfaces in 15 languages, and includes a court-fine donation module, Bußgeldverwaltung. An interface to Austria’s Federal Ministry of Finance handles statutory reporting of tax-deductible donations.
Implementation model
You can set it up yourself, or use a third-party partner. Self-service by default, typically reaching full adoption in around three months. A named ‘Implementierungspartner’ programme and a separate consulting layer exist for Salesforce/Dynamics integration and strategy work.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, hosted in Germany, GDPR-compliant.
