stehli software dataworks GmbH, based in Itzehoe/Cologne, Germany, was founded in 1992 by Christian Stehli and has specialised in fundraising software since 1998. It has a modest base of aid organisations running fundraise pro V6 Calm, alongside a substantial outsourced donor-administration service.
Functionality
fundraise pro is a donation-management and donor-relationship system, sold on a ‘use software, don’t own it’ subscription basis, covering data capture, bookkeeping, communication and campaign analysis in one product. Distinctive touches include a ‘Chaos-Modul’ that automatically matches or creates donor records from messy, unstructured booking data, full SEPA/DTA file handling, and a large set of standard evaluations (Pareto and donor-retention analyses among them). A companion business-intelligence tool, fundraise intelligence, sits alongside it for deeper financial and donor-potential analysis.
Localised features
Legally compliant Zuwendungsbestätigungen, donation receipts, with archiving. Complies with DDV, the German dialogue-marketing association’s standard, and flags first-time direct debits, ‘weiße Lastschrift.’ A past pro-bono Swiss-NGO expansion has since lapsed.
Implementation model
You can choose self-service or vendor-run: a Do-it-Yourself self-operated mode, or a Rundum-Sorglos (German for ‘all-round carefree’) fully outsourced, managed-service mode.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, vendor-hosted, with daily backups kept across two separate server locations. Both the self-operated and fully outsourced modes run on stehli’s own hosted infrastructure.
