Exponent Case Management

Organisation & background

Exponent Case Management is developed by Exponent Partners, a B Corp and California Benefit Corporation, and a Salesforce consulting partner. It’s delivered as a managed package on the Salesforce AppExchange, built on top of the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) data model.

Functionality

Exponent Case Management is a case, programme and outcomes-management application for human-services agencies, sold as a managed package that runs inside the agency’s own Salesforce org. It can share an org with the Nonprofit Success Pack, so client-services data sits alongside fundraising and donor records rather than in a separate system. Modules cover configurable intake forms, baseline assessments, individual service plans with goals, internal and external referral tracking with outcomes, service logging, case records and notes, and incident tracking, all built from standard Salesforce objects and Flow automation.

Localised features

A separate AppExchange add-on, the HMIS Module, supports reporting to HUD’s Homeless Management Information System, the federal data standard for US homeless-service organisations. Exponent Partners states explicitly that a Salesforce implementation partner cannot create compliant policies and procedures under HIPAA, the US health-data privacy law, for a customer. Responsibility for that policy and staff training stays with the customer.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by Exponent Partners as a Salesforce consulting engagement, using pre-built implementation kits to shorten delivery.

Hosting

Runs inside your organization’s own Salesforce tenancy, inheriting Salesforce’s own data-centre and security setup, inheriting Salesforce’s own data-centre and security setup. Exponent Case Management has passed Salesforce’s AppExchange security review.
