Charitylog

Organisation & background

Charitylog is a trading name of Dizions Ltd, founded in 2005 and acquired by Noveva Software Group, a health and social care software group, in 2026. It has a substantial customer base, concentrated among UK advice charities, and is also sold to local authorities as Crossdata.

Functionality

Charitylog is a case management system for UK advice and service-delivery charities, also used by public-sector bodies. Its Orgs and People model lets each contact carry one or more contact types, including several that organisations can repurpose. Case work runs through a Case Manager with a two-level outcomes model. Optional modules add rostering, handyperson job scheduling with materials and invoicing, and branches that split the database geographically with access controls, and a wide catalogue of reports can each be permissioned separately.

Localised features

A named IMCA module supports Independent Mental Capacity Advocate statutory recording, a niche UK-specific capability. Dedicated GDPR admin areas, Consent Rules and Field Sets, and a Cleanse Data/Anonymise Records tool are included, and it’s also sold to UK local authorities under the separate Crossdata brand.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: Named Implementation Consultant, pre-scoping spreadsheet, scaled training.

Hosting

Cloud-hosted by the vendor, hosted in UK data centres.
