Functionality
Ongsys is a cloud-based financial-management and accountability system for Brazilian nonprofits, built more around bookkeeping and compliance reporting than donor relationships. It records suppliers, partners, beneficiaries and donors in a shared contacts area, tracks every payment against Brazil’s various withholding taxes, and splits each transaction across the relevant projects and cost centres. A purchasing workflow routes spending through configurable, cost-centre-specific approval limits, and the system can pull in electronic invoices automatically and exchange payment files with a nonprofit’s bank. Donations are tracked only as a transaction category, not through a dedicated fundraising module.
Localised features
Issues Nota Fiscal de Serviços, Brazilian service invoices, for a large number of municipalities, plus boleto issuance for services and donations. A stricter account-provisioning policy was adopted specifically in response to LGPD, Brazil’s data-protection law.

Self-service through a three-step process: contact form, contract, then system access with scheduled web-based training, with customised training available.
