Organisation & background
MinForening, previously marketed as Wiandi, is funded by sponsor advertising assigned by area rather than by subscriptions.
Functionality
MinForening is a free, sponsor-funded app aimed at everyone around a club (leaders, treasurers, coaches, members, parents, volunteers) not just the board. It offers an activity calendar with participant and task management, and person and group chat framed around child safety. MobilePay-integrated payments post automatically into an integrated accounting program, and a distinctive family/household feature lets a person combine activities across several associations, extendable to plain family-calendar use. A named community-calendar integration (MitSamfund) pools local civic activity across organisations, and it’s free, with no paid tier of core functionality.
Localised features
Integrates with WinKAS, a Danish association accounting product, syncing members and posting payments collected in MinForening back into it. A separate service updates association websites, with integrations to WinKAS, Conventus and umbrella organisations.
Implementation model
Self-service, following a published five-step, self-directed setup guide. Associations can be created directly in-app. Ongoing training is provided through weekly public webinars and short how-to videos.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor (free mobile app plus web platform). Data hosting location and formal security certification are not addressed by the vendor, a gap given the platform’s significant use by families with children.
