kirchenweb.ch gmbh, based in Gächlingen, canton Schaffhausen, is a small vendor moving toward steward-ownership. Kirchenpersonen has a modest footprint of Kirchgemeinden (parish communities). Much smaller than the similarly named but entirely separate KiKartei product.
Functionality
Kirchenpersonen is a household- and family-based member-management module within kirchenweb.ch’s broader Swiss church website-and-administration toolkit, rather than a standalone product. It automatically consolidates imported records into households, supports blended (‘Patchwork’) family structures, and generates configurable exports such as voter lists, birthday lists and catechism-year cohorts. Its most distinctive capability is regional ‘Wahlkirchgemeinde’ support, letting several parishes in a canton share one instance and automatically transfer a member’s official data to the correct parish on relocation.
Localised features
Handles elective-membership, Wahlkirchgemeinde, arrangements used by the reformed cantonal churches of Schaffhausen and Freiburg, with Microsoft 365 integration for parish mail, unlike a named competitor.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: New Kirchgemeinden onboarded only within limited capacity; prospective users contact a named staff member rather than self-serve.
