Organisation & background
Kananas is operated by KIWI SAS, a French company marketed heavily into Spain and Latin America via a dedicated Spanish-language site, rather than being a domestically Spanish-built product.
Functionality
Kananas is a cloud membership and association-management platform for clubs, associations, alumni networks, parent associations, schools and federations, built around French association practice. A single contact record covers members, donors, volunteers and suppliers, holding custom fields, access rights, purchases and payments, scheduled activities, documents and a change log. Dues and event tickets are sold as products, an AI assistant matches imported bank transactions to members, and built-in accounting produces association financial statements. Members use a self-service portal and a branded mobile web app, and staff can map contacts and send emails, SMS or template documents in bulk.
Localised features
Supports SEPA direct debit, point-of-sale card payments and batching of cheque deposits, with an optional donor tip that covers transaction costs.
Implementation model
Self-service SaaS via online sign-up, with an in-app AI assistant and support-ticket channel.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, with customer data stored in Europe.
