CatatZakat

Organisation & background

CatatZakat is a recently launched Indonesian platform for zakat-collecting institutions, LAZ and OPZ. The vendor and founding team aren’t publicly named, and there is no independent case study.

Functionality

CatatZakat is an all-in-one zakat/infaq/sedekah/waqf collection, distribution, accounting and reporting platform for Indonesian zakat institutions. A single ledger records donations across offline and online channels regardless of how they were received, and a multi-tier approval workflow distributes funds across the eight zakat-recipient (asnaf mustahik) categories with photographic evidence and a full audit trail. Accounting entries post automatically to PSAK-109-compliant journals, a balance sheet and a sources-and-uses statement, and an executive dashboard tracks donation growth and top recipients in real time. Multiple branches are managed with data kept separate per branch but consolidated centrally, and each institution gets its own branded public donation micro-site with live campaign progress bars.

Localised features

Complies with PSAK 109, Indonesia’s national accounting standard for zakat, infaq and sedekah. Sends automated WhatsApp donation confirmations, and works in Indonesian rupiah and the Indonesian language.

Implementation model

Self-service with instant sign-up, vendor-assisted Excel or CSV data migration, and a two-week onboarding process for larger customers.

Hosting

Cloud-hosted by the vendor, hosted on servers in Indonesia.
