Organisation & background
DIRECT MIND GmbH, based in Vienna, is an Austrian fundraising agency founded in 1987, running a large number of campaigns each year. PROSPERUS is normally sold and used alongside the agency’s own services rather than as arms-length software, with a substantial base of NGO customers across Austria and neighbouring Central European markets.
Functionality
PROSPERUS is an SQL-database fundraising CRM merging offline and online donor acquisition and communication into one system, built for organisations that run active donor-acquisition campaigns rather than simple record-keeping. It supports the full donor-record lifecycle (book, reverse, edit, merge, dormant/reactivate) across one-off gifts, direct debits, contracts, major-donor stewardship and sponsorships, and includes ‘Touchpoint-Fundraising’, a named, timed and content-matched donor-journey methodology. Automated, template-driven thank-you-letter generation is filed to donor history, alongside named benchmarking reports (Verlaufsreport, Aktionsstatistik, Spendenindex, Trend-Radar).
Localised features
Purpose-built Austrian donation-deductibility, Spendenabsetzbarkeit, tooling: batch and real-time vbPK/bPK lookup against the Zentrales Melderegister, Austria’s central residents register, batch Finanzamt, tax office, reporting with correction and reversal handling, and in-interface compliance-status indicators.
Implementation model
Delivered as part of an ongoing DIRECT MIND agency relationship; data import stated to often complete within days.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, with a multi-tier, multi-location security design.
