Organisation & background
KlubbAdmin is built and owned by the Norwegian Sports Federation (NIF) itself, not a commercial vendor. It’s free for NIF-affiliated clubs, workplace-sports teams and sports schools, and has been mandatory by default since 2020.
Functionality
KlubbAdmin is the Norwegian Sports Federation’s own free membership and invoicing system for sports clubs, built around a fixed club–group–branch hierarchy mirroring how Norwegian sport is organised. It handles member intake, team and board administration, and dues invoicing through payment partner Buypass, with filtering by sport, team level, gender and age, and built-in reporting on membership trends. Coach and volunteer records include police-conduct-certificate tracking for safeguarding. Clubs may instead use a commercial system holding an approved NIF integration agreement, though doing so closes off certain central KlubbAdmin functions.
Localised features
Buypass payment integration, card, invoice, and eFaktura, shared with Min idrett/iSonen, with two-way sync to NIF’s central sports database, ISD. Visma eAccounting integration, ‘Smart Klubbøkonomi,’ posts vouchers by NIF Group/Branch dimension, and it’s GDPR-aligned per Norwegian/EU data-protection law.
Implementation model
Self-service: Role-based access granted via Idrettens ID/Min idrett; NIF-run bulk Excel import for clubs with 50+ existing members.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor (federation-run).
