Organisation & background
Infoxchange is an Australian not-for-profit social enterprise. SRS originated from a 2007 partnership with Micah Projects, its first SRS client, and has since been adopted across housing and homelessness, mental health, disability/NDIS, and women’s, youth and family services.
Functionality
Infoxchange SRS is an Australian client and case-management system for community organisations, designed to be simple for frontline caseworkers. Workers record case notes, case plans and client goals on a single client record, building a history that helps them plan care, and the system is customised to each organisation’s programmes. The same client record is shared with Infoxchange’s related products, including SHIP for homelessness services, a CIMS deployment, and Service Coordination and S2S referral tools.
Localised features
Built-in compliance with the SHS, Australia’s Specialist Homelessness Services, National Minimum Data Set for Commonwealth and AIHW, Australia’s national health and welfare statistics agency, reporting. State-branded variants, such as Queensland’s QHIP, run on the same underlying platform.
Implementation model
Not a commercial signup. Access is provisioned through a government contract, sector programme, or direct agreement with Infoxchange. SHIP is free for eligible agencies, with account creation supported by a dedicated SHS collection support hotline.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor: a web-based service hosted by Infoxchange Australia. Infrastructure is stated to meet or exceed Australian Government Protective Security Protocols. A separate case-management product from the same vendor has migrated to AWS; whether that applies to SHIP/SRS specifically is tracked separately.
