Organisation & background
SD Software-Design GmbH, based in Freiburg, Germany, launched easyVerein in 2016 and trademarked it in 2017. It has a large customer base of clubs across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and operates on a stated climate-neutral basis.
Functionality
easyVerein is a single unified cloud platform for club administration, deliberately built as one product rather than a separate membership/accounting split: membership and address records, a member self-service portal and app, financial management with GoBD-compliant archiving and a DATEV export, meetings, voting, inventory and task management, and an integrated video-conferencing room all sit in one place. A Twingle integration auto-matches online donations against bank imports and issues receipts, and easyVerein can itself act as an identity provider so members log into other club services with the same credentials. Bookkeeping currently supports cash-basis (EÜR) accounting only, not full double-entry Bilanz preparation.
Localised features
DATEV, a German accounting-data-exchange standard, export interface, with TÜV-referenced GoBD/DSGVO compliance, Germany’s proper-bookkeeping and data-protection standards, per independent review. Supports Germany/Austria online-banking import, and offers a separate umbrella-federation, Dachverbandslösung, package for multi-department associations on request.
Implementation model
Self-service, with an unlimited demo version, a ‘Getting started’ guide and an optional consultation call.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, on German servers, carrying the BITMi ‘Software Hosted in Germany’ seal.
