Organisation & background
Congrant Inc., based in Osaka, Japan, was incorporated in 2020 though the service launched in 2017. It operates as an independent SaaS vendor with a large customer base of nonprofit and public-interest-corporation customers.
Functionality
Congrant is a fundraising and supporter-management SaaS platform that lets a nonprofit build donation pages, take online payments and manage its donor database in one place. Organisations create ‘projects’ (branded campaign pages) for one-off or recurring donations, membership dues, crowdfunding or event fees. Every payment, whether made through the platform or entered manually, feeds a single ledger and automatically creates or updates a supporter record, while recurring gifts are managed separately for failed-payment recovery and cancellations. Receipts are generated, templated and bulk-issued from the same data, and a paid connector can sync records into Salesforce.
Localised features
Receipts include certification-number and date fields for certified NPOs, nintei NPOs, and receipt dates for card and bank-transfer gifts follow Cabinet Office guidance. It works with kintone, a Japanese no-code database platform.
Implementation model
Self-service: A multi-step trial-registration and usage-review process gates going live; paid data-import support and a paid Salesforce connector are available as add-ons.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, hosted on AWS, with SMS-based two-factor authentication available.
