Organisation & background
Bússola Social is the successor to Wiidoo Tecnologia, founded in 2012 by Áureo Gionco Jr., and has operated under the Bússola Social name since 2017, based in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It has a substantial number of organisations served.
Functionality
Bússola Social is a two-sided platform for Brazilian civil-society organisations (ONG): one product manages beneficiaries and casework for the organisations doing social work, and a separate product helps their corporate and institutional funders oversee a portfolio of grants. The beneficiary-facing side records detailed socioeconomic profiles (age, gender, race, education and household income) with confidential-record protection and a mobile app that lets field educators log attendance offline. The funder-facing side manages the full grant cycle, from open call through monitoring to final accountability reporting, and a separate, lighter financial-management module covers cash flow and reconciliation.
Localised features
A Transparency Page, Página de Transparência, is explicitly aligned to Brazil’s MROSC law, Lei 13.019/2014, alongside a general ‘privacy regulation alignment’ claim tied to confidential-record marking.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team for the OSC and social-investment products (requested, personalised demo-led engagement); the separate financial-management product offers a self-service free trial.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor.
