Organisation & background
GFS Fundraising Solutions GmbH, based in Bad Honnef, Germany, was founded in 1979 and has decades of continuous donor and member-administration experience. It has a modest but established base of organisations running activeDONOR, alongside a substantial outsourced donor-administration service line.
Functionality
activeDONOR is a donor and member database built as GFS’s own further development on a Microsoft Dynamics NAV base, aimed at organisations needing multi-entity structure: hierarchical (national/regional/local) and parallel (a Verein alongside a linked Stiftung) organisational models are both supported, and a single installation can run over 100 internal tenants with cross-tenant duplicate checking and reporting. Standard-package modules cover court-fine, sponsorship (including named project, child and animal sponsorship types), legacy and volunteer administration, with a three-level campaign hierarchy and Power BI connectivity for deeper analysis.
Localised features
Includes court-fine donation administration, Bußgeldverwaltung, as standard, with bookkeeping that follows Germany’s proper-accounting principles, GoB, without formal certification.
Implementation model
You can set it up yourself, or have GFS host and run it for you. GFS also offers full outsourcing of donor-administration tasks, billed per unit of work.
Hosting
You can choose: SaaS hosted at GFS’s Bad Honnef facility, self-hosted on your own server, or purchased for in-house Windows deployment.
