Spheriq, rebranded from StiftungSchweiz in 2025, has been backed by Zürcher Kantonalbank since 2018 alongside ten grant-making foundations. It’s positioned as Switzerland’s national digital philanthropy infrastructure.
Functionality
Spheriq is a two-sided marketplace connecting donors, grant-making foundations (Stiftung) and fundraising organisations, built around a searchable national directory of foundations, nonprofits and projects rather than around an organisation’s own constituent records. On top of the directory sit matching and saved-list tools, a lightweight contact-management layer explicitly positioned as a research aid rather than a CRM replacement, standardised online grant-application submission and review, and a public donation-collection platform with automatic tax-deductible receipting (plus collaborative ‘network’ workspaces and an Academy of training content from the Pro tier upward).
Localised features
Generates Swiss tax-deductible donation receipts, with an interface in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. SwissFoundations members get Partner-level access.

Self-service sign-up, with training through workshops at the Spheriq Academy.
