Organisation & background
Cherry Corp is stated as a spin-off from E4NET, a long-established Korean fintech and IT firm. It launched in 2019 under a government blockchain pilot with Dunamu, Innoblock and ChildFund Korea. E4NET’s own current site still lists Cherry as an in-house blockchain-lab product at the same registered address, so the two companies remain closely linked in practice.
Functionality
Cherry is a Korean blockchain-based donation platform where donors, nonprofits, churches and corporate CSR programmes use one shared marketplace. Donors top up an in-app token balance and give through smart-contract transfers, with the full path from donation to disbursement recorded on-chain. Payments can be made by account transfer, Naver Pay, card or virtual account, and campaigns are personalised by interest tags. Group giving through a Together Donation feature, church offering types with QR check-in, and branded corporate CSR campaigns for chosen audiences are also supported.
Localised features
Positioned to reach MZ-generation, Millennial and Gen Z, Korean donors underserved by traditional channels, developed under a Ministry of Science and ICT/KISA, Korea Internet & Security Agency, blockchain programme. Payment partners include BC Card, Lotte Members, Naver Financial, KSNET, a Korean payment gateway, and Smartro, with named tithe, thanksgiving, and Easter offering types for Korean churches.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: Organisations apply via a public Google Form rather than self-service sign-up.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor.
