Organisation & background
ShalomCloud was co-founded by Norman Snyder and Anne Weiss and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Per the Forward’s 2021 reporting, it is an independent player next to ShulCloud and Rakefet, and it picked up some clients directly from Chaverware after Togetherwork stopped renewing that product’s licences.
Functionality
ShalomCloud provides a synagogue and temple member and donor database with online payments, financial reporting, and event scheduling, plus synagogue-specific tools for Yahrzeit reminders, High Holiday honors tracking with templated offer-and-accept email workflows, and cemetery management. User permissions can be set per staff role, and the system is accessible from any browser without local installation.
Implementation model
Vendor-assisted onboarding, including migrations from larger competitors such as Chaverware.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor.
