Organisation & background
DonorDock was founded in 2017 in Fargo, North Dakota, by Matt Bitzegaio and Andrew Lutgen. It is aimed at community-funded nonprofits with small fundraising teams and annual revenue of roughly $1 million to $10 million.
Functionality
DonorDock is a donor CRM and fundraising platform for nonprofits, combining contact records with giving history, communications, tasks and notes. It includes customisable donation pages, built-in email and text messaging, automated donor journeys and thank-you workflows, dashboards, and volunteer and gift tracking. An AI assistant, Otto, suggests daily priorities, drafts donor messages for staff to edit, tags and updates records from activity, summarises each contact, and assigns follow-up tasks when a donor gives or lapses. Integrations include QuickBooks Online, Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, Constant Contact and Givebutter, with more through Zapier.
Localised features
Native integrations include Double the Donation, corporate matching-gift lookup, alongside Stripe, PayPal, Square, and QuickBooks Online for US payment and accounting processing.
Implementation model
You can set it up yourself, or have the vendor set it up for you. Vendor-guided ‘Premium Onboarding’ (white-glove data migration and workflow configuration) is the standard path, with a self-guided alternative also offered.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor.
