Bloomerang Volunteer, formerly InitLive, is an event-staffing and volunteer-workforce platform acquired by Bloomerang in 2023 and rebranded shortly after. Bloomerang says the change was visual only, with workflows and navigation unchanged.
Functionality
Bloomerang Volunteer, formerly InitLive, schedules volunteers and paid staff for live events such as festivals, conferences and galas, and syncs volunteer data with Bloomerang’s donor CRM. Its RosterMode engine matches people to shifts by qualifications, role, availability and conflicts, with bulk actions, shift duplication, drag-and-drop calendars, group rostering for friends or families, and a view for resolving conflicts before a schedule is published. Registration workflows can be set up per event or opportunity, and a mobile app lets managers message volunteers and reassign them to different locations during an event.
Localised features
A native Verified First integration, with support for Sterling Volunteers and Checkr, runs US background screening from the platform, covering criminal history, drug screening, credit history and driving records.
Implementation model
Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: White-glove onboarding is the default, delivered via Bloomerang’s own Learning Academy.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor: Part of Bloomerang’s cloud product family.
