SmartRaiser

Organisation & background

SmartRaiser Co., Ltd. was founded in 2012 and is sold by Doum & Nanum, a Korean fundraising consultancy tied to international consultancy Brakeley, built from the two firms’ consulting experience.

Functionality

SmartRaiser is a cloud fundraising CRM for Korean nonprofit fundraising teams, automating CMS direct-debit reconciliation, receipting and acknowledgement mailings across six donation types: regular, pledged, one-off, in-kind, sponsorship and participatory. It tracks prospective donors through a pipeline, plans solicitations with target lists, and records solicitors and their performance. SmartGive provides donor-facing pages, either quick standard pages or custom-built ones. Mailings go by SMS, email, post and KakaoTalk with automated triggers, and NTS donation-receipt tools include public-disclosure donor lists. Payment processing, event management, bulk import and export, and analytics are also covered.

Localised features

Settles bank-withdrawal transactions directly with 금융결제원, the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute. Supports Kakao Pay and PayPal and KakaoTalk AlimTalk and FriendTalk messaging, and generates National Tax Service submission files, donation statements and public-benefit-corporation disclosure outputs.

Implementation model

Delivered directly by the vendor’s own team: Sales-enquiry-led onboarding with a vendor-arranged demo.

Hosting

Cloud-hosted by the vendor: Redundant servers via a specialist hosting provider per vendor statement.
