Organisation & background
Rubic is Norwegian-built, operating since 2014, with support based in Lillehammer. It became part of the pan-Nordic/European group ECIT in 2023, which supplies its accounting, bookkeeping and advanced-registration modules. It has a substantial customer base of teams and associations.
Functionality
Rubic is a Norwegian membership and club-administration platform built around a shared member register that invoicing, communication and activity scheduling all read from and write to, so a change made in one place propagates everywhere else. Named solutions serve sports clubs, event and tournament registration and payment, a general-purpose multi-level membership system for non-sport associations, and outsourced bookkeeping through parent group ECIT. Discrete modules cover payment, communication, activity scheduling, event registration, volunteer (dugnad) shift coordination, equipment stock, and a hardware-free mobile kiosk point-of-sale, letting an organisation start small and add modules as it grows.
Localised features
NIF, Norway’s sports federation, approved automatic member-count reporting. Supports Vipps, card, eFaktura, AvtaleGiro and OCR/KID, with FIKS and TA football and handball fixture-system integration and BankID identity verification. Accounting reflects Norway’s momskompensasjon, nonprofit VAT-compensation, scheme, with Tripletex and Catacloud integrations.
Implementation model
Self-service, or lightly assisted onboarding for standard configurations. Setup and data import from an existing system are stated to take 24 hours. A bespoke, consultative path also exists for atypical needs, such as special federations.
Hosting
Cloud-hosted by the vendor, hosted in Norway.
