Bloomerang CRM

Organisation & background

Bloomerang CRM was incorporated in 2012 in Indianapolis. JMI Equity acquired a majority stake in 2020, joined by Warburg Pincus in 2024. It’s part of the Bloomerang Giving Platform, alongside Bloomerang Fundraising (formerly Qgiv, acquired in 2024) and Bloomerang Volunteer (formerly InitLive, acquired in 2023).

Functionality

Bloomerang CRM is a fundraising CRM focused on donor retention, covering constituents, households and giving. Journey Automation sends lifecycle and milestone email sequences, and each profile shows an Engagement Level score and a DonorSearch-powered generosity rating. An AI assistant, Penny, answers questions about the data and can create records. It includes reports, user roles and permissions, import, export and bulk-update tools, integrations and a membership module. It works alongside Bloomerang Fundraising, for donation pages, peer-to-peer and events, and Bloomerang Volunteer.
